Our Story
In 1958 Stipe Pejkovic immigrated to Australia and quickly rose to the forefront of the formwork construction industry.
From humble beginnings as a labourer, Stipe’s ambition to succeed, coupled with his drive, commitment to his workforce and outgoing personality saw him create arguably one of Australia’s Leading Formwork companies which saw success and growth throughout the 1980’s to late 90’s.
Stipe quickly expanded into all aspects of residential, industrial and government projects with a strong focus on the Sydney building construction sector. With Stipe at the helm and with his two sons John and Tony joining the team, the company over the years grew in leaps and bounds. Stipe’s success and reputation attracted expert construction professionals with diverse backgrounds and formed a team that would become one of NSW’s premier formwork companies.
Stipe was a significant player in the Australian formwork industry, so much so that Workcover used Stipe's own methodology in the safe practice of formwork as their backbone for the first Formwork Code of Practice introduced in NSW.
Four decades later Stipe became founder and managing director of SP FORMWORK.
Over the years Stipe successfully steered SP FORMWORK through downturns in the industry whilst maintaining continuous employment for his employee’s, which he believed, was his greatest asset.
Under the direction of Stipe, SP FORMWORK excelled in the construction market consistently securing high profile projects with reputable developers transforming the Sydney landscape.
SP FORMWORK quickly grew in size and secured its reputation for fast, reliable and quality formwork, a mantra that is culturally instilled in all SP employees.
